Hello to all my Tucson neighbors who are passionate about their living spaces!
This site was created because I share that same passion for Interior Design and Gardening.
After having an Interior Design Business and operating a Home Furnishings Store here in Tucson for fifteen plus years, I took some time off to “smell the roses”. “Smelling the roses” is quite literally what I did; I fell in love with gardening!
While I played in my garden, I thought about my years in the business, and the many other designers, contractors and home furnishings retailers that I had met over the years. I was amazed at the abundance of quality resources right here in Tucson. Many of these businesses were found only by word of mouth as traditional advertising meant they would have to increase the price of their services or products, and thus be unable to pass those savings on to their customers. So the question became, “How do I create a place where Tucson can come together and everybody benefits?”
The next logical step was to create an outlet where homeowners needing services and products could connect with reliable sources. After putting together a team of web experts, coupled with my experience in design and retail, Tucson Home and Garden Spot was born!
Our desire was not just to have a home and garden directory, but to have an interactive website where neighbors could share their home project successes or failures, as well as a place to find quality resources unique to the Tucson area. We wanted to give you updates on the latest design trends as well as “tricks of the trade” for all the do-it-yourself people out there.
As with any new venture, there are always things that can be improved. We want to hear your successes, suggestions, criticisms, and whatever else you want to share. Our goal is to get Tucson connected one project at a time.
